Mountain Man Mike’s Bus Service is a weekly intercity bus service running from Vancouver to Kaslo, and Kaslo to Calgary with stops at every major interior and prairie community along the way.
Owned and operated by Mike Hathaway, an accomplished Red Seal mechanic and a long-time school bus driver, Mountain Man Mike’s wants to connect the interior communities along the Highway 3 corridor in an affordable, efficient, and eco-friendly way.
Mike’s buses run on recycled restaurant frying oil and using his proprietary process for turning french fry oil into driving fuel, Mike can achieve almost three times the fuel efficiency of other buses. Being environmentally friendly and cost-conscious is important to Mike; he wants to respect the environment and also respect your pocketbook. Offering competitive rates, no hidden fees, and a flexible hop-on hop-off fare system you can be confident you’ll get to where you need to go, when you need to be there, and without any headaches.
